About the Basler Relays

Our supplier, Basler Electric, has been manufacturing electronic protection relays in USA since the 1970’s and we supply their latest range of digital protection relays to many large power utilities as well as industrial and power generation users.

Since 2001 we have supplied in excess of 3,000 relays to various organisations including Ausgrid, Essential Energy and Endeavour Energy as well as many industrial and co-generation applications.

Many Basler relays have been in service since the 1970’s.  In addition you are secure in the knowledge that Basler numeric relays are supplied with a 7 year manufacturer’s warranty.

Our Relay range includes

• Transformer/Feeder protection relays including overcurrent and earth fault, with directional control and distance to fault location plus Sensitive Earth Fault and many more functions

• Generator multi-function relays with multiple programmable elements for each function including loss of excitation, over-excitation, overcurrent, earth fault, over/under voltage, over/under frequency, directional power, check-sync, fuse loss, etc

• Anti-islanding Protection with forward/reverse power, ROCOF(positive or negative) and many more functions

• Transformer/Generator Differential Protection with additional overcurrent, earth fault, voltage and frequency protection elements

• Synchronous and Induction Motor Protection with thermal model (IEC or customised), voltage, current, frequency and optional differential elements plus starting/running data , thermal inhibit and front panel Start/Stop buttons

• All relays have BESTlogicPlus™ programmable logic for maximum flexibility in configuring protection and control schemes

• IEC61850 ; Modbus ; DNP3.0 ; Ethernet Communications Protocols on most models

• Sequence of Events Reports, Fault Summaries, Oscillography

• Rack and panel mounting cases including direct replacement for the old GEC, GE and Westinghouse electromechanical and electronic relays
